I have visited the eye-department on several occasions over the last few decades for myself and for my daughter. Today's follow-up was needed to check an area of pigmentation of the retina. A nurse did the preliminary work: eyetest, eyedrops, eyepressures, etc and she also explained why these were required. The consultant, who I have come to know well now, assessed the eyes and concluded that there was no need to be concerned. Together we looked at the numerous photographs they took and a thorough explanation was given as well. All 'n' all the total time spent in the department was about a couple of hours, which is quite acceptable, also because the eyedrops needed time to kick in.
