My wife has been a patient in both charlenont house and friar house and if I'm honest I can't see the point of them. The whole outfit is so unprofessional, no help hardly is given and the help, albeit scarce, is only given when you have to near beg for it. They admit you, leave you to your own devices and discharge. Honestly what's the point?? Some of the staff talked to my wife like she was a low class citizen not worthy. Some staff are nice but I can't push the point enough that really no medical help is given to the patients, well my wife anyway. They might as well shut the place down and just give care in the community because I struggle to see the point in the hospital. Doctors see you whilst your in there, tell you that your going to be prescribed this and that then other professional staff tell you that this and that is going to happen, yeah right nothing is done and this can be said for the 6 or so weeks my wife spent in 2 different wards. Hygiene leaves a lot to be desired, they don't even have simple washing up liquid to wash up with, it's just done with water only. It's 2016 and this place reminds me of an old asylum you see in films on tv. I can't recommend this hospital to anyone because it's not very good really it isn't.
"Shockingly bad hospital"
