"Health Check"

I came to the practice yesterday for my health check, I rarely visit the surgery and felt an obligation to come along even though I'm generally very healthy.

I arrived a bit early for my appointment, having left work early especially because I know if I am late then I lose my slot. I waited for more than an hour past my appt time and then had to leave as I had made an arrangement to meet a friend which I couldn't alter.

I appreciate that some patients take more time than others but I was 25 mins late to meet my friend and I missed my appointment. If the nurse had let reception know sooner then at least I wouldn't have kept my friend waiting as well.

I would like to say that in the 1 hour and 15 minutes I spent in your waiting room your receptionists did an utterly extraordinary job. Patient, kind, respectful and knowledgeable they went the extra mile with everyone, even the more challenging patients, who they had to deal with that afternoon. It is a hard job and they are to be commended for doing it so well.
