After a very long wait to get a date for my operation I received nothing but respect and outstanding care. My operation went very well however after a few hours of being back on the ward things weren't going as they should, a long story and I don't want to go into my private medical history. But what I would like to say is that the following 8/9 hours I received fantastic care from staff. The nurse that helped me through the night was respectful and made me feel as ease even though I knew I wasn't very well at all. Even 1 member of staff who had been told that under no circumstances must beds were aloud to be brought into the X-ray department let the team wheel me in as I had just undergone surgery and was becoming very unwell and needed to X-ray immediately. My surgeon was told of my deterioration and he gave instructions and rang every hour to check my progress. He also turned up at my bedside at 9 the following morning (his day off) to see me. Now that is what I call outstanding care! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
