I attended the treatment centre last Friday for minor surgery under general anaesthetic. The whole process from being phoned with appointment to booking in on the day was so simple.
I felt the staff in the same day admissions unit were friendly and helpful, chatting, making everyone feel at ease.
I have been anxious before previous operations but I felt completely relaxed this time. On going up to the ward, I was attended to by a really fantastic nurse (I inderstand I cannot put their name here but I did note it) who gave me lots of information, brought me everything I needed and got me discharged in a very short space of time on what was a busy evening.
I felt really taken care of.
The staff really made what could have been a traumatic stay for me really calm and easy.
My only apprehension was the mixed wards when some conditions could be difficult to deal with in front of opposite sex. Thanks!
