My Son was admitted to hospital with a broken elbow. Everything from seeing the triage nurses to going up to the ward to having the op and the aftercare was faultless. Everyone involved was great with my son. The single rooms with en-suite were really lovely aswel, however I do just have a couple of small issues. Whilst I know everything revolves around the children on the wards, i just think things could be a little better for the parents who have to stay over. My son was in for 2 days and the couch bed provided in the room for parents was so hard and uncomfortable that I didnt sleep a wink both nights. Also, when people are coming around asking the children what they would like for breakfast, it would be nice for the parents to be offered a cup of tea or coffee and maybe a piece of toast aswel. I had to wait for my partner to arrive in the afternoon before I could have a coffee as I didnt want to leave my son on his own. I just think these little things could make it a bit easier for the tired parents staying with their children. Apart from these issues everything was fine. All the staff were lovely and they were very nice to my son.
