This maternity unit is far too busy. Every appointment I have had has been delayed by at least an hour. The reception staff are fairly rude, the self check in machine never work so what's the point in having them there. The queue to check in is always huge - pregnant women all standing in a queue for at least 10 minutes at a time. When I had my 12 week scan I was told they had "run out of paper" so couldn't take an image with me. I was told I can get some at my 20 week scan - not very helpful when you have been through 3 years of trying to conceive and then IVF. If I could go back now and choose another hospital then I would. My checking appointment with the midwife was rushed and they didn't have any knowledge of IVF so weren't much help with any of my questions. I also never received my free bonty folder which has several helpful information leaflets and free gifts. You genuinely feel just like another number at this hospital.
