In July, my mum was taken to A and E by ambulance very unwell and I would like to say how quickly she was assessed and treated by the Dr's and staff there. She was transferred to the CDU and the nurses there were equally as caring and professional. Mum then went on to Sandwich Bay ward. She was a patient there for 18 days until she sadly died. As you can imagine, this whole period of time was extremely stressful and very upsetting at times for us as a family but the care received by Mum throughout her stay on Sandwich Bay was exemplary - we had access to the Beresford Suite which is a relatives area where you can stay which was absolutely invaluable at such a time for us. The nurses and Dr and all the staff on Sandwich Bay ward made a very traumatic time a little easier to cope with and I know that my mum would not have wanted to go to any other ward. Thank you .
"Very impressed during a stressful time"
