"Endoscopy"

My father visited the endoscopy department recently, although the nurses were very nice they seem to have very little compassion for the families waiting in the waiting room! My father had to endure a bronchoscopy without sedation and was somewhat unwell after the procedure, resulting in him being admitted to CDU, I was sat waiting for an hour and half and had to personally go and ask a nurse if he was ok, to be told we will see you in a minute several times, a simple yes or no would of sufficed, I feel if they had kept people informed then family waiting would feel a little better. One lady was waiting for her daughter 2hours and it took for another patient to tell her that her daughter hadn't even gone for her procedure! My father ended up staying over night, had I known they were going to do this without sedation I would of asked for an alternative way!! Than to put a 73yr old through that!!!
