I visited A&E in the early hours with my wife and 9 month old daughter.
My daughter had developed an unexplained rash and following a conversation with 111 we decided to take her in to be checked as soon as possible by health professionals.
We were seen quickly and assessed.
As we entered the consultation room and started discussing the issue the nurses indicated they were going to take some observations however there was no pause to discuss what that meant they just started getting on with it.
I would have preferred it was explained what they were going to do and ask us before starting to remove our daughter's clothing.
On reflection this felt wrong that this step was missed.
The medical outcome was good for our daughter and the matter quickly resolved for which I am grateful.
I am not happy that my daughter observed people in authority can remove her clothing without a pause to seek her or her parent's permission.
