The receptionist who escorted me to my room, although extremely pleasant, reeked of garlic, which was not acceptable. From admittance to lunch time, the care received from nurses, especially one and theatre staff was superb. However, once the staff changed at lunch time, we felt neglected, and after 3 hrs we saw no one, we had to find someone to ask if we could leave, despite being told I needed blood pressure checked regularly, but this did not occur, even before I was discharged, this was not done. The lunchtime order never arrived. I accept the hospital is being improved but my room was dirty, the carpet was disgusting, with part of the skirting board missing, there were bits of white under the chairs, Bathroom was fine. As I was paying for this, rooms in this state really should not be used.
"Overall excellent apart from"
