Having visited the haematology clinic several times with my elderly father I am fully aware of the 'poor' attitude often displayed by one reception desk staff member. However, on this occasion the receptionist in question really excelled them-self. In short, their rudeness knows no bounds! I struggle to comprehend how this person is still working in this setting. As a first point of contact for patients the impression one is left with is extremely poor.
Add to this the fact that the person responsible for weighing my father wrote his appointment time down incorrectly as being 11:00am instead of 10:00am. This was only discovered when at 11.15 I asked how much longer we would be expected to wait and was advised there were still 3 patients in front of us! Even when I pointed out that the time was incorrect on the front of the notes the care assistant in question argued that it was us who were wrong....having shown the letter to a more 'able' staff member we were promptly moved to the front of the queue.
"Shocking attitude on arrival...downhill from there"
