I have been phobic of dentists for 30 years. I was terrified at the thought of being sedated for a full dental clearance. I worried myself sick for nothing! I can remember the needle being put in my arm (I am also needle phobic) and next I knew I was ready to go home!!
Everyone I have seen at the hospital -from the staff at reception to dental nurses and consultants have been amazing. Nobody made me feel stupid about my phobia- all were so kind, caring and supportive. For someone as terrified as me I never felt scared once at the hospital as everyone was so lovely. For anyone as phobic of dentists as I am please don't be scared. Those at the rvi dental hospital are truly amazing. And those terrified of sedation- don't be! I made myself ill with worry for nothing. I can't remember a thing. And considering I had all my teeth out, I have hardly any discomfort which only goes to show what a great job they have done!
To all at the rvi involved in my care...Thankyou so much for all you have done for me. I truly appreciate it.
