What I liked
A&E Department and staff are simply outstanding. Cheerful, efficient and effective. The best NHS experience I have ever had and they so deserve public recognition for this.
Fracture Clinic also provide great care - very diligent, even when working under difficult circumstances.
What could be improved
I had to stay in the BUPA Wing as an NHS patient. Some of the nurses - about 3 or 4 - chatted loudly and incessantly for hours on end. They seemed to think that the pleasures afforded by the social aspects of their work outweighed the needs of the patients. It sometimes felt more like a Wetherspoons than a hospital. They seemed to have utter disregard for the fact that people ill in hospital might need as much peace and quiet as possible, not a continuous running dialogue on the private lives of the nurses which incidentally happened to be very boring after the first 30 mins. I felt sorry for any long stay patients there.
