72 year old Mum taken by ambulance on Sunday 15th May. Booked into A&E at 3pm, few tests done to try and confirm if she had had a stroke. At 8pm taken to ward 12, nurses did obs and she sat in the chair by her bed waiting for doctors to come and discuss treatment etc, 11.30 pm my Mum asked if she could go to bed as no one had yet arrived., by 9am next morning still no doctor had been and no staff answered the phone all night { was ringing on and off from 10pm } finally answered at 7am. Doctor finally came and said she had been overlooked, needed stroke assessment which was done Monday afternoon, they needed to speak to Neurological team, as of today at 1.30 pm she has still not been seen and is now on a ward 36 which she was taken down to at 3am, no drinks given this morning till lunch. My Mum has various serious health issues, and like many others is not receiving the correct care required. The nurses and running around like headless chickens with no back up and they are the ones dealing with our complaints. This hospital is a joke and needs a serious review. I am like others on Mums ward taking our complaint further.
"Dissgusting."
