I would just like to say a big thank you to the person I spoke to regarding my mother and hospital transport.
The person was so kind and understanding of my mum's condition.
She is struggling with her colostomy bag and also suffers with mCi and to go from hutton to orsett hospital is not straight forward . I work full time and am the only relative that drives . I have been pushed from pillar to post regarding her ability to travel on public transport .I was told by one community organisation that her personal dignity regarding the colostomy problems was only a problem at the present and they had a relative with the same problem and they got the bus .it was down to me a bus or cab she is 82 and has many on going problems .she has lots of hospital visits which I do try to take her to but sometimes I just can't .so to all the staff that deal with hospital transport and the colarectal nurses I would like to say a big thank you to such careing staff .unfortunately I missed the call back from the person I dealt with they did leave a message on my phone confirming the booking .l wanted to say a personal thank you to them as I was at my wits end . Such good staff should be recognised thank you for restoring my faith in not only the nhs but also human nature .
