I spent only two nights in Women's Health Wing, F16 following a total hysterectomy. This is described as major abdominal surgery but the care and advice I received whilst attending my pre op appointment and during my time on the ward meant I was confident about returning home and convalescing there. The care, courtesy and utter professionalism shown to me by all staff from admin as I arrived, pre surgery staff, anaesthetists, surgeon, nursing and domestic staff was commendable. I know the NHS is subject to variety of pressures but at the point of care as I patient, none of them were evident to me. I was cared for totally and now 4 weeks into my recovery feel the benefit. Cannot thank them all enough for the way they do their very difficult jobs with dedication, humour and dignity. This experience at your hospital has left me feeling confident that my future health is assured. Thank you all.
