On the 9th March 2016 I went for my first appointment and overall the staff were good apart from one member of staff who took my bloods it was the worst experience I have ever had!
As they were taking my bloods I told them that I was feeling faint and they just wasn't responding and carried on taking my blood. The next thing I know I suddenly wake up (I had fainted) and there was blood all over my clothes, chair and floor! The member of staff pressed a button and x2 other staff members came in the room and rather then laying me down on the bed they were more concerned about cleaning up the blood as it was clear there was lots of it! I was still a bit dazed but the 3 staff members just left me sitting on the chair. I said I need to lay down they then took me to the bed did not comfort me or offer me any water just carried on wiping! I said I needed to call my husband as he had just popped down. Then within 2mins or so they said 'okay you will have to wait outside I have lots of other patients' I said can I at least wait for my husband to come? they then said 'he is taking his time' at this point it had still been less than 5minutes since I called him. The member of staff then said okay you can wait but we have lots of other patients so I will have to lay down quietly. It was quite clear they did not care about my welfare and I was 3 months pregnant with 7 bottles of blood taken out of me! I then decided to just walk out and luckily my husband was there. Staff like this shouldn't be allowed to treat patients this way, both me and my husband were appalled by the way I was treated. I will refuse to ever deal with this member of staff again as there was no professionalism, empathy or clear understanding on how to treat humans.
"So far staff have been okay apart from one..."
