I spent 5 days as an NHS patient at Mount Stuart Hospital. The care and support provided by all members of the staff was outstanding. My preassessement visit 5 days before the operation was well managed. I was well informed by the surgeon on the nature of the surgery and post op procedures and the nursing staff and radiologist were very efficient and reassuring.
The operation went remarkably well and 7 weeks on I am making excellent progress. The wound has heeled so well that hardly any trace of the scar can be seen. I am also a lot more mobile than I expected.
The care and attention I received in my 5 days stay at the hospital was top class. I had a private room with excellent facilities (including en suite bathroom) and the nursing staff were superb. Positive, cheerful and very caring, they responded quickly when the need arose. I was kept well informed of my progress and what was to come and I was monitored regularly by medical staff.
The physiotherapy team were quick to get me knee moving, helping me to understand and cope with my exercises to speed recovery.
The follow up support service was also very good and reassuring.
I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the outstanding treatment I received at Mount
Stuart. All staff were very professional and were determined to give me the best care and support possible
