Finally getting round to writing the review the paediatric A and E team deserve, despite visiting months ago!
My 18 month old daughter fell down the stairs hitting her head very hard. When we arrived at reception I was a frantic, gabbling mess and my daughter was clearly distressed.
The receptionist was so kind and efficient and helped calm me down a bit.
Almost immeadiately we were triaged by the Nurse.
They were fantastic and by the time they had finished their assessment they had gotten smiles from both me and my daughter!
Had a very short wait to see the doctor, in which time a student nurse came to do some observations. The student nurse seemed confident, relaxed and knowledgeable. I really believe you can tell a lot about a place by the mannerisms of the students.
When we did see the Doctor they were thorough and really spent a lot of time talking to us, explaining things in an easy to understand way.
By the time we were discharged I felt confident my daughter had received the correct treatment and promptly!
Not only had they treated her I felt they had looked after her very anxious (slightly neurotic) Mother also!
"Couldn't have asked for better treatment. Great..."
