I was let down, saddened and appalled at the lack of care I received at this place. Not only are the facilites and resources lacking, making the NHS even less compassionate toward psychiatric services but the staff were cold, rude and worst of all they did not listen to my problems or my requests for ways to cope. They basically sent a letter telling me I do not require further help or a medical review with a psychiatrist. I asked for a medical review and the nurse I spoke with tolc me it would be put in place with a visit to a psychiatrist only to be given that letter stating I don't need a review or psychiatric help, not even a counsellor
The NHS has left a post natally depressed woman in a new country, out in the cold. Left to phone the crisis line and wait on my doctor for medication and get back to New Zealand for proper treatment
