Informed that ward 39 had 16 patients and not enough staff, relying on agency staff that did not know the patients
Despite the cognitive impairment and the hospital advertising dementia initiatives my grandfather was moved 5 times in 5 days
When asked for treatment plan and diagnosis told do not know
Daily informed of different information all conflicting ranging from a call to say he's medically fit to 6 hours later he's being moved again to a rehab ward for 3 weeks
Asked how they are treating the infection told lorazepam
Attempts to speak to senior management failed
Attempts to speak to Matron failed
Now hoping bed manager promise to call back will happen but so far proving not to live in hope
Standard of care not good enough
No evidence to suggest compassionate care never mind advocating independence and MDT working that holds the patient and carer at the centre
"Poor standard of care blamed on resources"
