My wife drove me in to the Accident & Emergency department on 22nd January.
I was suffering with chest pain. From the moment I arrived I was very quickly checked-in, waited no more than a couple of minutes before having some primary checks and an ECG. I was then immediately taken to an available bed in resuscitation (the only one available), assessed and stabilised within minutes. After further checks I was taken for an angiogram and two stents were fitted.
From arriving sometime after midday at A & E to my discharge from the Birch Cardiac Ward the next morning I was met and treated by the most, amazing, sincere & experienced people. I was informed what was going on throughout my experience and I cannot thank any of these doctors, nurses - everybody - enough for their care, uplifting friendliness and patience.
"Amazing care"
