I was referred to the Holme Valley Memorial Hospital (where I'd been the previous year for an operation on my heel).
From the moment of walking in, from the Reception staff to the Consultant and the extremely pleasant, genuinely caring and helpful staff both pre and post operation, the whole experience has been excellent (just this morning I arrived for a post operation check up. The receptionist had had to leave her post for a moment but a member of the hospital's service engineering staff who happened to be there greeted me, took my name and reassured me that I'd be dealt with shortly. He didn't need to do that but, to me, it showed the very high level of customer care and focus that runs through the process like the name through a stick of rock). Compare that to the abysmal treatment when visiting the local Infirmary.
I really can't emphasise enough what a thoroughly excellent service the podiatry staff provide.
