Very poor. Arrived for scan. They asked how far pregnant I was...no idea...I thought that was why I was having the scan! I guessed between 6/7 weeks...they couldn't get a goid view because 1) I was very early and 2) baby was in an awkward position.
They couldn't not get accurate measurements and at first said I was probably 4 weeks and then maybe 6 weeks.
I was shown heartbeat and then a second opinion was asked for, I presume this was a more experienced sonographer, who promptly said "no heartbeat" and left the room. I was extremely annoyed at the lack of respect and the rudeness if this person. If my baby had died I think being told a little bit more sympathetic would've been called for. I questioned what they said, mentioning that I was very early and I have heard of very many people who haven't seen a heartbeat through an abdominal scan until 7 weeks and even up to 9 weeks, I was promptly told that they would expect to see a heartbeat (even though they couldn't see the whole embryo properly to measure!) at this stage and to presume it was a miscarriage.
I would never ever deal with the Rosie again. I had one miscarriage and one baby there and it was an awful experience both times. I refused even ultrasound until near my due dates for home birth on other pregnancies. O thought it might be different a few years later, but sadly it isn't. I am going to leave it and if my child has died in the womb then I shall let nature take its course if not and my baby is ok..Rosie maternity hospital you can expect a massive complaint being made to you about my treatment and 'diagnosis'.
