"Kidney cancer"

I cannot praise the staff at Freeman's Hospital enough.

After missing the two week deadline to see a kidney specialist in Cumbria I was seen, had my pre assessment, kidney removed and was home within two weeks.

From my first appointment with the consultant and specialist nurse I knew that my care was going to be the best I could get.

The pre assessment nurse even fitted my appointment around me allowing time for travel.

I was admitted to Ward 1 and again my care was second to none. I also met the consultant and anaesthetist who were doing my operation.

I was taken to the anaesthetic room where the anaesthetist and nurse put me at ease.

When I was coming around from the operation the consultant even told me how the operation had gone, the consultant also told me a couple of days later. I had trust and faith in the consultant and they did a brilliant job.

I was admitted to Ward 3 where I was looked after by a very professional team.
