After being referred from Oldham on 17/12/15 for surgery apparently, making my own way there with no use of my right hand, due to a snapped tendon, after hours waiting in plastics department to be told, it's urgent, not an emergency, go & someone will ring you tomorrow....admittedly they did, got appointment for Monday 21/12/15 ..... Full weekend with no use of my right hand, popping painkillers like sweets, made my way to wythenshawe again, to be told, this is an out patients appointment fot after your surgery.... Oops not had the surgery....here's a fact sheet regarding general anaesthetic ..... Date to be confirmed....had a few telephone numbers on, so rang them, one number not in service?? Second was switchboard, to be told after being put through that I would have to speak to switchboard, eventually spoke to someone (probably a porter!) er try this number for appointments, so I did....oops it's outpatients! So after 5 days without the use of my right hand...I'm 34 and a carpet fitter....I'm no better off, still cannot use my right hand! Therefore out of pocket for work, taxis and medication...... Terrific!
