This morning I attended Wd 2E at Crosshouse Hospital, North Ayrshire for a skin biopsy procedure, I was felling a bit nervous and apprehensive as I am sure many people do when attending hospital. I arrived in the ward and was greeted by the receptionist Joan in a very friendly manner, who told me that I would be fine. Shortly afterwards the consultant, Dr Mitchell came through to the waiting area and greeted me very warmly and introduced me to Sandra, his assistant who was also very warm and friendly.
I then had the procedure, I cannot emphasis how relaxed and comfortable I felt throughout the whole experience due to the expertise, professionalism and the relaxing atmosphere which the consultant and sister had created.
All the members of staff whom I met in ward 2e this morning, including Tracy Ann, Mr Mitchell's secy, are a credit to the NHS and maybe we should hear more on the media about the wonderful work that is carried out by these very dedicated members of NHS staff.
"Wonderful NHS staff"
