What I liked
Attending the Accident & Emergency due to a suspected heart problem on Tuesday July 28 2009 I was given the 'full treatment' by a team of Nursing staff that feel was outstanding.
I was advised by my local DP to attend the Accident & Emergency immediately when I explained my problem.
I was attended to within a 15 minute period (it was a Tuesday evening so I was outside the hectic weekend period) and was given an array of checks for my condition over a 4 hour period during which I was treated with apologies for delays between checks I was having that were obviously necessary.
my wife and I were asked whether we we hungry at all as we had not eaten since lunchtime that day.
Within minutes we were handed a sandwhich each with coffee in a real china mug and a cardboard box containing other goodies. I asked to pay but was told by the nurse with a sweet smile that it 'was her treat that night', really marvellous!
Would you kidly convey my sincere gratitude to all the staff on duty that evening for the help, concern and courtesy shown to my wife and me at a very difficult time.
May I suggest that I would be very happy to have these comments forwarded to the Portsmouth News for publication.
