Just had nearly 3wks on juniper ward for a incisional hernia repair.loads of complications that had to b edealt with.big thanks to the consultant and their team, but the nursing staff were fantastic.frequently understaffed, under huge pressure, then havin a cqc visit next week.i have been an inpatient many times at Northampton General so this was my first visit to another trust.it seems to be the same areas of concern at both.discharging patients is a nightmare,up to 5 or 6 hr wait, usual bottleneck of getting discharge paperwork done by already overworked docs and nurses what pharmacy is like is anyone's guess.other point of concern is nurses and patients not knowin about treatment plans being passed from one team to another.for goodness sake tell us who you are and what speciality you are.communication at all times.once again my thanks to the nurses team on juniper.kind regards Simon crow
