Anything else?
Whilst this hospital is a leader in the field and I have no complaints about my hip replacement which is now lasting into its 21st year, the aftercare leaves something to be desired. i was 21 when I had my op and have had outpatient appointments yearly or 2 yearly since then. In the last few years every appointment has been cancelled by letter and rearranged then cancelled again, this year my November appointment was cancelled in February and I have still to hear when the new one is. I cannot be the only patient this is happening to, I have previously contacted PALS and had appointments reinstated but that is not the point, if this was an isolated incident then fair enough, i am concerned that they are cancelling existing appointments to see new patients and then come within the time limits in the Patients Charter therefore massaging the figures.
