I did not have my baby at UHCW but was transferred from Warwick after having an emergency section.
My son was left without oxygen and was transferred first to UHCW for cooling treatment in the NICU,
I was transferred afterwards and placed on the HDU of the maternity ward.
Sadly my son died a few days afterwards, but the care and support we received from the midwives and consultants at UHCW was absolutely second to none.
The handovers between midwives were thorough, the ward was clean and despite them being extremely busy, they were always professional, polite and efficient.
The staff were exceptionally compassionate as well as adept at dealing with my various health issues.
The aftercare was also to a very high standard. As a result of all this, we have chosen to receive care and support from UHCW with our next pregnancy and despite being very high risk and stressful, we feel in very safe hands.
"Huge support at devestating time"
