"Outpatients Visit"

About: Colchester General Hospital

I had a routine outpatient appointment so a chance to see some of the changes. The enlarged car park is good with adequate space and no problems with the barriers, which we had experienced in the past. The waiting area has also been enlarged and while this is good I felt some opportunities had been missed, possibly some shorter bench seats to enable more wheelchair space, and why do the nurses have to keep coming to reception and calling patients names ?

My actual appointment went well with the results of my "out of area" blood test and scan results available and clearly explained. The questions I had were answered with clarity.

I was seen on time and although we had arrived early only had to pay for one hour parking.

So a good result all round my thanks to all the staff.
