As a patient with Vasculitis I always have a chance of a relapse ( as in in February 2015)
The relapse has to be dealt with immediately.. In CMH there is no opportunity to just turn up and be treated. In my opinion I think it is absolutely necessary to have the possibility of a Walk in Clinic. It is CMH that have all my records and know my case. Going to Northwick Park (with its expected very long wait) without knowing my history could in fact jeopardise my state of health.
If the relapse is severe and I should need hospitalisation then I would need to go to Northwick Park
Having a walk in Clinic could deal with relapse and prevent it worsening and reducing pressure on Northwick Park
At CMH the Diabetic clinic has the option of walk ins
CMH should also have a ward to deal with relapses whether mine or other patients with on going issues when hospitalisation is necessary. For the same reasons as the Walk in Clinic
"Walk in Clinic"
