I started my Home Talk journey in February this year, but got referred after the Health Visitor came to see us after my son's second birthday. Chris came to see us and I didn't know what to expect, my first session with Chris was about getting to know each other playing with my child and learning how to not ask my child what things/objects were like "what is that on the TV" and it's a train for example
The next few sessions were a little easier, I and my son felt more confident with Chris, I learnt new skills like making playdough, doing jigsaws, baking, painting and talking to him like a person.
I feel like I've learnt a lot from Chris over the past few weeks and my son has become much clearer on what he says. He can put 2 or 3 words together now than before, not having a dummy has helped he only has this at night now. We have loved every minute spending time together and with Chris. All the advice she has given me has helped, I'm so pleased with his progres, he's chatting away like there's no tomorrow. I am so proud of Andrew and love him to bits.
Thank you Chris and Sure Start.
