Arrived at 9a.m.on Tuesday the 25th Aug.for Vascular scan.appoint.10a.m. Up on the 4th floor,I thought for a minute I had a private appoint.Spotless, exactly like a private hospital, very friendly receptionist, sat down for a short spell,a doctor came out and called me through for the test.Very detailed scan, the level of care I was receiving was amazing. The doc, explained in detail what was occuring, after a while I was transfered to A.& E.via a wheelchair,no walking.Short wait in A&E taken through for examination and X-Rays.Taken up by wheelchair again to 7th floor K-Bay.Again,extremely clean, every member of staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.I was informed I was awaiting a CT scan.Bit of a wait, alas,no scan due to volume of patients.Stayed the night, very attentive staff, allowed to have some toast for breakfast, surgeon came.explained that I would be sent home and would return for CTscan at a later date.Discharged about 3.30.p.m.today.Given transport home to my front door.Wow ! ,Friday 28th,received lettter with appoint.for Acute Imaging Center at St Mary,s in Paddington on Friday 6th Sept.If anyone has had a faster or more detailed experience,I would be totally surprised,A big thank you to all the dedicated staff I met during my visit.
