After attending an ENT appointment (with an hour delay) we were told my son would need to be fitted for hearing aids.
Went to the reception desk to be told that this service was Monday - Friday 9am -1pm only.
Drop in service and unable to make an appointment.
After trying to explain to the nurse on duty that my son has severe learning disabilities and waiting around for a long time is not an option (meltdowns etc) and was it not possible to make an appointment for any time (we were completly flexible and waiting around in the waiting room with a disabled child in meltdown is not fun for anyone) was told no they do not offer that service and they could not help at all - come in and take a number, sit and wait.
This is an awful service for children with learning difficulties and some sort of arrangement has to be put in place - the NET has one of the worst delays in appointment as it is - our total time in JR yesterday was 1.5 hours!
