I attened the anti natal assesment clinic today due to experiencing pain at 34 weeks .
I was greated by a receptionist who didnt smile of look at me once instead just pointed down the corrider and said sit there !
I arrived a 10 am at 11 am i had my blood pressure taken by a studen and was told the midwife would be with me shortly .
At 12.30 i was moved one room down and asked to wait there .
Insidently at this point a lady delivered her baby on the waiting room floor dispite a number of plees for help over the last two hours she told staff her contraction were every minuite at least 10 times she was told to sit and wait !
At 1pm i was put on a monitor for 30 mins then asked to sit back in the waiting room and wait for a doctor to review me .
I sat there for 4 hours untill the doctor arrived , I am diabetic and not one was i even offered a drink or any thing to eat .
I watched and listened as 3 midwifes sat in the sat seat in the same office discussing everything from the weather to shoppibg with what appered to be a member of staff currently on maternity leave that had come to visit with her baby .
At 4 pm i was given a scan (excelent in the scan department) and returned to aau .
I sat and waited another 2 hours untill i was sent home .
"Very disapointed"
