Was taken in on 30 June 2013. Had CT scan. Had to wait until the Monday for MRI scan because no staff were available (and these are expensive machines that should be operated 24 hours), On Monday had the scan, then later two consultants came to see me and told me my Brain tumour was inoperable, and to get my affairs in order. My only regret is not looking at my watch and asking "How long have I got?". Sent home. Fortunately someone with common sense contacted KCH London, and they took me in, operated on, on July11th and I am now fine. Disgusted with the "consultants", who should have said that it was inoperable at Medway, but that may case would be referred elsewhere. Was concerned that, in the ward I was in, there was red spots on the ceiling above my bed. Was this tomato soup or blood? Staff on the ward were very good however. Because I didn't know about this review place, your times for the visit doesn't go far enough into the past. But there are two other cases that will eventually find their way here with equally appalling treatment (missed operation, miss diagnoses, bad communication). But they are for another day, because they are on going.
"Bit late putting the review -but needs a proper..."
