Due to my previous child having Hip Dysplasia, my second child required an Ultrasound to ensure she didn't have the same problem. I turned up to the Children's services department 15 minutes before my appointment (good job seeing as I was actually only there to pick up my child's notes, to then take them the other side of the hospital, where we had just come from). When I got to Ultrasound, the waiting room was packed out. My baby's appointment was at 1.15pm, we finally got seen at 2.40pm! After the ultrasound had finished, I was instructed to go back to the children's services department to hand my baby's notes back in. When I got there I was told I had to wait to see the Nurse to discuss the results. I politely told the receptionist that I was unable to wait to speak to the nurse as I had to collect my eldest child from school, 16 miles away. The receptionist abruptly told me that if I wasn't prepared to wait, then that was my choice. I again, politely informed them that as their appointments were an hour and a half behind, I simply didn't have time and asked for the results to be mailed home to me. Well, I never received the results, and I asked at my baby's 8 week check if the Doctor had received them on her system. They had, and written on the results were "Not examined as Mother unable to wait". Total lies, making me out to be an awful Mother which I then felt like I needed to explain to the Doctor as to why I was unable to wait for the results. Not examination.
