I was due to have a home birth and after getting to 7cm at home I had to be blue light to the James paget due to having a high temperature and previous having a quick labour. I was so anxious about going into hospital even though I've always worked in a hospital I was always terrified about giving birth in one One of the reasons was I needed 3 birthing partners for support not just 2 which is one of The reasons of wanting a home birth I arrived at the delivery suite at 6am and the staff was lovely and very welcoming I was very anxious as all through my pregnancy I had it in my head I was having a home birth The midwives who were on the time I arrived were fantastic! I panicked a few times and they really reassured me and made me calm down I can not be grateful enough! Another midwife then took over from the night staff and they were brilliant too going out of their way to explain and reassure me as I was so anxious about my general health too as my previous birth I lost so much blood! Being a nhs worker myself I don't think people get praised enough and the public are too quick to complain rather than praise workers. I will be writing to the manger to say how amazing the staff were I can not fault anything me and my daughter was very looked after and I can not thank everyone there enough!! Well done! I hope your work gets noticed because I don't think credit is always Given where credit is due!
