My daughter was in here for the past week as an emergency patient, I am absolutely horrified at the treatment she received by the staff , as her next of kin the communication levels are nil, with inconsistent information being relay to us depending on which staff you talked to. My daughter was admitted under section ss she suffers from ptsd and was presenting harmful behaviour to herself , considering we are 250 miles away from where we live , she was alone frightened and panicking , at times I accept my daughters behaviour can be quite challenging as she's loud and prone to doing stupid stuff to herself , but because of what's happened in the past to her she has male trust issues , so admission to a mixed ward was always going to be really difficult , she refused to take quiet meds oally as didn't want to feel out of control around male staff and patients , solution by staff instead of trying to spend time talking to her was to inject her constantly , sometimes 2 ,3 , times a day which only caused an escalatoin in her issues and behaviour , she had everything removed from her room , tv magazine's etc after breaking a windows, which I understand has to be done for her own safety , but then she's in her room with even more time to think . By this time staff were threating her with transfer to a picu which would be even further from home , in the meantime her cpn from Lincolnshire is looking for a bed back in our own county , last night at 10 ,30 I had a very frightened phone call from my daughter to say that she was told to pack her stuff as transport was waiting to transfer her back to Lincoln , only when she was on transport was she told she was being taken to a hospital in West Sussex , not bad eh, for someone who has terrible trust issues
"unsatisfactory"
