What I liked
Nothing really I was kept on a trolley in A&E for more than 4 hours before being transferred to the observation ward. At 9 am I was seen by a Doctor who said I could be treated at home by the district nurses. It was 6 pm before my medications were brought up from the pharmacy and I was able to leave. There was no transport available to take me home and I could not support my weight on my left leg due to the infection in it.
A week later I had to attend as an out patient and my medications were changed. I had to leave the hospital without them as I had another appointment. The medications were eventually made available some 6 hours later and I had to return to the hospital to pick them up.
What could be improved
The time taken for the medications to be brought up from the pharmacy.
Anything else?
Transport could have been booked earlier if the medications had been made available at an earlier time.
