I am pregnant and due to my age and previous medical history, my GP referred me to a consultant instead of a midwife, as they routinely do. Instead on my fist visit I was seen by a midwife who could not discuss my concerns and advise me correctly. The midwiife said she knew nothing about my doctor having referred me to a consultant. I was told by the midwide to ask my GP to presctibe me daily aspirin but when I visited the GP he was unsure as to why that was and he was not comfortable with that. My GP contacted the hospital again saying he had specifically asked for me to be seen by a doctor and that they should contact me again. This was three weeks ago and I have not heard from them. I also had a threatened miscarriage so I am very worried about my current health. Also I received a letter for an endocrinolgy appoinment which I needed to reschedule. I called the hospital on the number provided on the letter and I was told to ring the Endocryne department directly, but I was given a wrong number. I called again and was given another wrong number, which was answered by a solicitors firm who said they always get calls from Royal London and they have notified them of the number being given out wrongly. I called again and they were able to chance my appointment, so I wonder, why were they not able to do so on the previous two phone calls I made and made me ring four times? I am very dissatisfied and concerned with the lack of communication, and do not feel in safe hands.
