"Pain Clinic person was a monster"

About: St Bartholomew's Hospital

Today I visited the pain clinic for the second time, after waiting months and months to have my say. I was treated disdainfully and with an utter lack of respect. I am currently dying and have been given only a few months left to live. I have asked that my pain be brought under control so that I can have a little bit of dignity before I go. They utterly couldn't care less about me and it was obvious. They offered me nothing and I now have to leave empty handed. I am in pain every day all day long. I just wanted something to be done...

We are very upset to read of your experience and to hear that you were treated disdainfully and with little respect. Our staff should not behaving like this towards any of our patients. We are sorry you were made to feel like this. We would like help and discuss the concerns you have raised here in more detail.
