I was treated at RSH Treatment centre for day surgery which took longer for me than anticipated as I had a few problems. The centre is mixed sex but on the day, all beds were taken by women. Partners were allowed in to be with patients prior to ops but otherwise it was an all-female area on the day. I do not remember a great deal due to being in pain and on a lot of medication. However, I do remember the care and attention I received by a young trainee who sat with me for hours, talking to me and reassuring me. Their 'mentor' was just as caring, and they were very supportive of their manner. My time at the centre was made as comfortable as possible, I felt very much looked after.
"Excellent care"
