What I liked
My father was on the 16th floor for 6/7 weeks. In that time, he saw his consultant ONCE and rarely saw the same doctor twice. On numerous occasions he was nil by mouth only to find that this was a mistake and the procedure had been cancelled. So had his meals for day -so more expense for us. On one occasion at a weekend he asked to see a doctor in the morning - despite frequent chasing, he was not seen. The nurses in the week were excellent - not so at the weekend when in general they seemed disinterested and on occasions ill informed. This is a ward full of gravely sick people - they deserve better.
What could be improved
See above. Coffee / vending machine for visitors to negate the need to go right down to the ground floor.
