i was impressed with the care that I personally received, although I wasn't happy with everything. I stayed overnight on the EAU on 8.5.15, I was concerned to see and hear the medical staff commenting on patients loudly and in a derogatory manner, for all other patients to hear. I lay waiting to hear what terrible things they thought of me. This happened mostly when there were staff hand overs. I witnessed staff shouting at an elderly vulnerable patient, they were trying to do her obs and she was resisting, but it wasn't explained properly to her why it was necessary and she ended up very upset, which resulted in much eye rolling and tutting from staff. Not once did they use the simple word "please". I heard discussion with the staff after saying "well some old people will become very fights with you. I think many old people and not so old, just like nice manners and to be spoken to with respect and dignity.
