"Fortesque Ward"

About: North Devon District Hospital

My father's treatment in the MAU unit was absolutely despicable. Thankfully they finally transferred him to Fortesque Ward. Wow! as soon as we walked into the ward the atmosphere was so relaxing Staff very welcoming they settled my Dad without any fuss. We visited him on Sunday his second day on the ward and omg! he was settled washed & shaven, a totally different man. We can not praise the staff on Fortesque ward enough, and we do mean all the staff! the ward is a bright, clean & happy ward. At no point were we made to feel uncomfortable or in the way. we want you to pass on thanks to the staff of Fortesque. Well done all! You all deserve to be acknowledged for all you hard work and patients...... Bobs Family

Dear Wendy

Thank you for taking the time to let us have your feedback - I have shared your very kind comments with the Fortescue ward manager- however I am disappointed to note the differing experience you had on MAU, and would like to apologise that your fathers treatment didn't go so well.

Should you wish us to look into your concerns relating to his stay on MAU please contact PALS who would be very happy to support you. PALS can be contacted on 01271 314090

Many thanks
