I had my hysterectomy on the 19/12/14. I would like to thank my consultant for the wonderful care pre and post operatively. The consultant was very caring and when I was worried about what I thought were post operative complications a week after, took the time to explain sympathetically that all was well and gave reassurance during what I know was a busy time on the ward. I know that sometimes hospital staff do not get the praise they rightly deserve, and it is such a shame so often we hear in the news only negative reviews. I have always believed in praise where praise is due. The anaesthetist was very kind and compassionate and I would like to thank them for their care and diligence. When I came around from my operation, I would like to thank the team who assisted me so quickly to alleviate my pain when I was in great distress. I would personally like to thank the nurses who showed exemplary care and compassion, but also to the support workers who so often get overlooked. For the kind encouragement to eat a bit of soup, or the endless brews when needed, to holding my hand when I was being sick, I thank you! May the management acknowledge your care and dedication. Please continue to carry on providing the wonderful service you do, because even though you may not realise it, I promise you, each and every one of you make a world of difference. Many thanks.
